Y'all, as a kid who grew up food-insecure, plz don't do this. There is nothing more demoralizing as a little kid than being reminded of your family's poverty. We looked forward to Halloween bc it was the 1 chance to be like every other kid and get access to treats the food banks never gave out.

Newsom's usefulness as a Democrat / Governor / Person is by getting California to counter Texas gerrymandering and keeping Trump on tilt with trolling. After his term is up, we'll show him the door and say, "Don't let the door hit ya on the way out, sellout."
I will never understand how a politician can go from making California the first sanctuary state for trans people, to saying he wants to sign laws preventing trans youth from playing sports.
