After watching the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting in whole, I’m feeling prepared to comment on it in a proper way.

What we’re witnessing in America is what happens when disordered discourse captures a political party, then the state itself. The Republican Party was the first to fall - abandoning truth for conspiracy, ideology for grievance, and policy for performative outrage.

In this 132nd long-read on my strategy blog, I show why Europe must, while Trump seeks to impose an ignominious agreement on Ukraine, not get drawn into these dangerous discussions and pursue a strategy of Russian defeat.
Defeatism is irrational today.

Boycotts are taking hold. Protests are on the rise. Federal courts are hitting back. The Trump-Musk-Vance regime's popularity is plunging and DOGE is losing credibility. In these dark times, it's important to recognize that people are fighting back. Join them.

Good news is that the AfD despite having the increased their portion is well below their hopes. They will not play any role in the future government.

The best news is that more than 84% have cast their vote. A great victory for democracy. Well done, Germany!

Exactly three years ago, on the night of February 24, I came back home from a small family gathering that was overshadowed by the looming danger. I felt lost and scared. Walking in circles around the living room didn't help. I couldn't sleep that night. I just kept staring into a wall, still 1/6

Well, it looks like Putin immediately and harshly flipped the middle finger at Trump's attempt to quickly and easily achieve a ceasefire, bring the war to an end, and bask in self-admiration as a peacemaker and savior of nations.

This is why you fight these cowards.

The moment you stand up to them, they crumble.

Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights.

He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.

Europe is still in the denial stage of grieving.

There is no choice between defending Ukraine and another European country in a post-USA/NATO world. The defense of Europe’s free states is a whole and needs to be understood as such. www.thetimes.com/world/europe...

Painful to read, having grown up with the idea that the USA was protecting the world.
But truth is yes, they might be in the process of becoming an enemy of the western world, aligning with dictatorships and their agenda.
Europe and its population need to accept this reality and stand up.
In this 131st long-read on my strategy blog, I wonder if we are not witnessing the end of transatlanticism.
I'm afraid that we will have to face this new, potentially lasting reality without illusions.
A vital challenge for Europe that begins in Ukraine.

J’enfonce sans doute des portes ouvertes, mais depuis 2022, les commentaires sur la guerre ont dérivé tant de fois qu’il vaut mieux répéter les évidences.
