The uptick in silkpost style shenanigans in the HL community regarding HL3 is a thing to observe in real time. @foldablehuman.bsky.social — do we call this Sievert Posting?

Silksong is fantastic.

But I really wish they hadn’t included upward pogo traversal that requires a diving diagonal attack.

Otherwise no notes so far.

I really need to look into getting a radiant barrier in my attic. Been cloudy as all heck today and my AC hasn’t been running hardly at all despite the temperatures still being low 90s…

A reminder that local elections matter, everywhere. Oklahoma’s SC is weird but the justices do face recall/retention elections. OK’s SC shutdown the state funded religious charter school attempt. That went to SCOTUS where the ruling was a (ludicrously) a tie, so the ruling falls back to OK.

Friggin’ Hell. Ghost Story was already one of my favorites of the series (let’s be real, nothing tops Skin Game) but this just makes it that much more meaningful. I’m glad Butcher is still around and making Harry miserable, though I agree, he could use a hug.
Your reminder that someone can appear to be at the top (of the world, of their field, etc) and feel rather dramatically differently. I'm glad Jim worked through his issues, is still here with us and is still writing the books so many people love.

Kinda want to pin this.
When the subject is my friends' right to exist, I am vehemently intolerant of those who "disagree" with me.

Bigots can fix their hearts or die.
If your values and beliefs rest on such weak foundations that you have to resort to mobbing people who disagree with you, then you are just a MAGAt but liberal.

Say it after me: Chat GPT is not a search engine. It does not scan the web for information, it just generates statistically likely sentences. You cannot use it a search engine, or as a substitute for searching.

Now. Please never use an LLM for information searches ever again.

Introducing STARSEEKER, a brand new game from the developers of ASTRONEER.

STARSEEKER is all about the joy of discovery and the camaraderie that emerges from an evolving, cooperative experience. We hope you'll enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it... sometime in 2026.

Got the Echoes of the Eye vinyl today. So happy to have both soundtracks. Gave part of it a listen and yeah, these are so vital to the experience I felt unsettled, sad, and hopeful again. Just bonkers good soundtracks on top of an excellent game.

Yes. This. Each time I post about the hypocrisy I'm getting these kinds of cynical responses, and really, stop it. I get that everyone copes in their own way, but don't pre-give in. Fight for your actual rights. Call out the hypocrisy. Not to convince them, but to remind everyone else.
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.

Hadn’t looked at YouTube comments on large channels in a looooong while. Boy howdy those have gotten entirely pointless with all the damn LLM bots running around eh? They’ve never been exactly _useful_ but better than 1/100 was at least written by a human in the past.

If helping a runt nurse for a few days is too difficult for you don’t fucking breed your dog. I know life is rough and busy but fuck off. You don’t euthanize a 5 day old puppy you intentionally bred for profit because it is mildly more inconvenient than its siblings.

Bottle baby adventures begin.

The network formerly known as Twitter just popped a notification for me. Promoting a post by someone I do not follow.

So I got a notification for some rando’s popular Twitter post? Not reposted into my timeline. Not tagging me. Not even a topic I care about.

Time to firm up my exit plans. Wtf.

Shit.
This rather sucks: apparently the company behind Libby/Overdrive (which is the dominant way to access ebooks etc. through your local library) is now in the hands of the vulture capitalists who took down Toys R’Us.

And signs of enshittification are already showing.
