exactly the same in the U.S. - very few Jewish Israelis feel any kind of link to "official" bodies across the political spectrum like ADL, Federation, J Street. Neither do most U.S. Jews.
There are (acc to census) 23,000 Israelis in the UK, probably double that in reality; that's not an insignificant number, given that the total Jewish community is estimated at only 300k. But very few Jewish Israelis in the UK have any relationship to these "official" bodies. They don't represent us.
The deafening silence from the UK's "official" Jewish institutions on Nigel Farrage's antisemitism demonstrates how morally bankrupt they are. So far the Board of Deputies, JLC, chief rabbi and CST have yet to say one word. Pathetic doesn't begin to capture it.
