What an excellent day at the UK Indoor Air: Research at the Science–Policy Interface conference: I am sad to miss the second day!

It is unthinkable to me that an event with this much focused UK research on indoor air quality (and momentum!) would exist without the Clean Air Programme.

It is unreasonable.. "to blame household air quality issues on lifestyle choices when so many factors are outside an occupant’s control."

Awaab's Law requires social housing associations to urgently address damp & mould that presents significant risk of harm to tenants. @douglasbooker.bsky.social (Civil Engineering) argues that it stops short of addressing other causes of poor indoor air quality.

It's often said that an English person's home is their castle... but how much control do we actually have over the air we breathe at home?

Awaab's Law comes into effect today! In this @uk.theconversation.com article, we write about what it does —and does not— mean for improving indoor air quality.
