I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

We're drowning in passwords & multi-factor authentication & chatbots & "unusually high call volume" & robots ignoring "representative!"

We should think more carefully about how Social Security uses these tools with our parents & grandparents.

Trump’s “Quiet, piggy” remark joins a preponderance of evidence suggesting “how limited a proportion of men actually see women as equal human beings,” @sophiegilbert.bsky.social argues.

Exactly. Once you decide that lying and propagandizing is necessary, you're on the road to oblivion, because the other guys are not only better at it, but they will out you as being no better than they are
The risk of straying from the truth is that the opposition can seize on the falsehood, hyperbole, whatever, to attack you and convince others that you can't be trusted.

I would love to hear @radiofreetom.bsky.social backstory/take on this bit of military and political history.
Late tonight in 1973, alarmed that the Soviet Union seemed to be preparing to intervene in the Yom Kippur War, Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger and Secretary of Defense James Schlesinger decided to order US forces to DEFCON 3—without President Nixon’s knowledge.

ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.

Game 7 between the Jays and the Mariners just ran an pro-free trade ad, targeted to American workers, decrying tariffs.

The twist being that, if you don't catch it beforehand, Ronald Reagan is revealed as the speaker in the closing seconds.

Not one.

To do so removes the very point of being creative in the first place.
