I've decided to embrace the fact that I am working on multiple WIPs at the same time and have a few ideas bubbling on how to make it work. Anyone else doing this, and what are your thoughts? #writing #writingcraft

Read this as national basset day, and am now disappointed.
Marketing email telling me today is National Bassist Day but Google says that National Bassist Day is on November 7, not to be confused with National Hug a Bassist Day, which is October 12, and look, all I know is everything I ever knew about bassists and their special day has been thrown into CHAOS

An orphaned wolf pup named Amora has been paired with a rescue puppy named Slinky. Amora needs socialization to develop properly and Slinky is happy to provide it. Sedgwick County Zoo shared that "Slinky’s playful nature is helping her grow into the wolf she is meant to be." 13/10 for both

Welcome to Meditations in an Emergency
We are very clearly in a lot of emergencies right now. They demand action. But action demands thought and thoughtfulness: who are we, what are our values, our goals, our allies, our possibilities, and...

Also, on social media for key information such as this. You're welcome. Ok, time go get to #writing now.
This is why I can't quite social media completely. Where else would you find out that slugs are into hamster-wheeling?
In 2014 Dutch scientists left a hamster wheel outside, to see if wild animals would use it like their domesticated counterparts.

The answer: hell yes! 734 visits from wild mice - plus rats, shrews, slugs ("running" being subjective here) & even frogs and snails.

The apparent reason: fun. Just fun.

remember, the blitzkrieg is intended to make you feel like there is nothing you can do about it; that’s the only reason to go forward in this haphazard and sloppy manner all in the first week

and the choice of that strategy tells you they are afraid you *will* do something about it

If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.
