so i have designated email addresses for bills etc because companies are bound to send you spam on those channels, but i noticed the other day that all the marketing emails have List-Unsubscribe headers (because they're supposed to) while none of the actual substantive bills/notifications do

it would be interesting to do some kind of work comparing and contrasting domesticated gambling vs generic risk-taking
the thing about gambling is it really is honest-to-goodness fixed, in the sense that almost everything has a negative expected value, such that if you played an infinite number of times your bankroll would go to zero, and the things they can't fix that way they just kick you out if you win too much

i think my earbuds might finally have bought it
they don't charge past 10% and one of them gets hot lol
i have cleaned the contacts (with vinegar followed by rubbing alcohol followed by a pencil eraser like it says) and i have tried hard-resetting them
it's either shorting (weird?) or just goofed

i've been thinking about this paper since it shipped and one of the things i keep coming back to is the punning of "technology" with specific product categories/form factors/vendors' products, so another way to deny the framing is to look perplexed like "which of a dozen things do you mean by AI?"
