The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.—Douglas Adams

Took part in @peanutscollab.bsky.social and redrew a classic Peanuts strip, one of my favorites. I believe a lot of my artistic impetus is attributed to Schulz, so it's hard to not draw these characters how he himself drew them without feeling like sacrilege, so I forced myself to work differently.

Regarding so much of today's election, one quote comes to mind from a wise man;

"Funny. I guess destiny isn’t the path chosen for us, but the path we chose for ourselves."

The most overlooked thing when talking about the Dark Age of Animation is the fact that digital animation tools were invented during that period. Stuff like bone-rigged tweening and digital ink and paint were invented in the 1960s and the 1970s.

I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.
