I feel Tesla is very lucky most of its customers aren't reading his insane postings. The sig heil salutes really rocked sales, but his day-to-day stuff isn't really a whole lot better.
Well, it wouldn't be a day without a post about the nominal CEO of #EV maker #Tesla, now, would it?

What is Stellantis even doing right now?
I love that the doors and glass come out, but $65,000 for 250 miles of range and no mention of locking differentials in an off-roader. Plus, the charge port appears to be a big miss (hoping that part's rectified before production).
Tell me I'm wrong!
Great show for you this week!
• Porsche Cayenne has the specs!
• Jeep Recon has a big charging problem
• Audi plans to Scout out some extended range
• Much, much more

The day is finally here! VW EV owners now have access to Tesla's Supercharger network in North America! As always Chargeway makes this easy allowing you to simply switch on the 🔴 "fast" adapter in filters to see your options. 😎

The contrast between EV adoption in Italy and Denmark couldn't be more different. The first thing I saw from an airport window in Copenhagen was this huge ad for the all-electric Mazda 6e. The other side of the building had an equally large ad for BMW iX.

Xiaomi's EV division started up in 2021 and having almost doubled Tesla's sales in China in October, is now profitable.
Legacy automakers need to do some soul searching.
Xiaomi's innovative businesses, including EV and AI, posts 1st quarterly profit

This could be seen as Xiaomi EV achieving its first quarterly profit, as the EV business contributed 97.6 percent of Xiaomi's innovative business revenue. cnev.co/Hve3NuR 👇

John makes some great points in this well-researched piece. My take-away is that we should appreciate the lower cost EVs coming soon to our market, like the Chevy Bolt and new Nissan Leaf. We shouldn't forget about the Kia EV3, either.
After a dozen interviews + months waiting for details of new models, my 1st major feature for @wired.com went live this weekend. It's rich context + I'm pleased with the result.

May also offer some hope to beleaguered #EV advocates now barraged with grim, context-free "EV sales plummet" headlines.
When Will the US Finally Get $15K EVs?
Super-cheap EVs exist in other parts of the world, as advances in battery tech and manufacturing are making new cars significantly cheaper. But the US market presents unique challenges for automakers.

In Italy, and probably other European countries, the cap of containers stays attached. Simple way to avoid extra plastic pollution.

Leaving Italy today after almost four weeks, and I can't believe how much I love this place.

Hope to be back next year for the big festival in the tiny community that my great-grandfather left behind for America.

Hero.
Spotted this little Fiat 126, held together by string and sweet nothings whispered in Italian, shouldering its owner's tables and unsold flea market baubles and unappreciated treasures back home.
With a prayer and a splash of benzina, it'll do it again next weekend.

Going #EV isn't just about environment, its about health
your health.
Air pollution damages nearly every organ in the human body even unborn babies.
Yet:
• Only 17% know it’s linked to dementia
• 95% unaware of diabetes links
• 82% unaware of stroke risks
• 70% unaware of heart disease connections
Poll finds the public remain unaware of the health impact of air pollution
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has written to the secretary of state for health and social care calling for a nationwide public health campaign on air pollution after a survey revealed widespre...

Clean Energy accounted for all electricity growth this year. Gas/Coal were basically a wash and will be for years to come for electricity generation.

We need to ramp up batteries because they are 90% cheaper than distribution grid upgrades which is the main reason we have rate increases.
