Hi!
I produce the Batteries Included Podcast

My personal EV channel

And I write songs that I will hopefully record very, very soon.
The contrast between EV adoption in Italy and Denmark couldn't be more different. The first thing I saw from an airport window in Copenhagen was this huge ad for the all-electric Mazda 6e. The other side of the building had an equally large ad for BMW iX.

The Cupra Tavascan is on display in the Frankfurt airport. The brand was supposed to come to the US in 2030, but now it's said to be coming...*waves hands.

Another innovation here, pigeons inside the airport keep the floors clean of crumbs.

In Italy, and probably other European countries, the cap of containers stays attached. Simple way to avoid extra plastic pollution.

Leaving Italy today after almost four weeks, and I can't believe how much I love this place.

Hope to be back next year for the big festival in the tiny community that my great-grandfather left behind for America.

Hero.
Spotted this little Fiat 126, held together by string and sweet nothings whispered in Italian, shouldering its owner's tables and unsold flea market baubles and unappreciated treasures back home.
With a prayer and a splash of benzina, it'll do it again next weekend.

I'd never even heard of Catania before a few weeks ago. Lots of interesting sites and sights.
Gladiator amphitheater for 15,000, huge squares with cathedrals...

Strolling the big shopping street Via Etnea in Catania this morning. Great crowds of people walking.
Stopped for a pistachio canolo and cappachino.

At the café in the Valley of the Temples, there is the cutest gang of cats. These are just two of the brigands. #caturday

Un cappuccino con due dosi di espresso.
Buongiorno! 🙂

Here you go.
And I guarantee it drives like a bank. A very powerful, fully funded, white-glove bank.

My first pistachio pizza!

I'm on the roof top patio playing some guitar. This is what's happening in the sky around me and maybe I should play something from REM's Murmer record. 😃

It's pizza night. Again. Which is a great thing. 🙂

After a couple weeks of eating mostly pizza and panini, I visited this fast-food chain out of Palermo called Zangaloro Meat Factory.
So delicious.
Check out this haul, which will be two meals for two.

Spotted another Jeep Avenger street parked in Agrigento. If Jeep could increase the battery size -- now 51 kWh usable -- without raising the price too much, I suspect this could sell decently in the US.

Like other saints on a mission from God, Saint Calogero faces his admires from behind a protective net of chicken wire.

Tip: if you ever see these, buy them. Truly, a revelation.

Spotted these six Ami/Topolino adorbs all clumped together on Agrigento and wonder if they're part of a rental fleet.

Not electric, but interesting to see a Mahindra Falcon here in Sicily.

One of the many kitties of Belmonte Calabro.

What a night! Sat outside this little bar chowing on an incredible charcuterie board, sipping on gin from some Sicilian village as throngs of locals strolled by and a band played on the street.
It's almost midnight and things are still in full swing.
