I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

Unfortunately, the reaction against Trump is empowering a MAGA-style over-reaction in Canada. Much as the 9-11 attacks empowered anti-demicratic forces that eroded civil liberties and encouraged fascism in the United States. Surrendering our core values in the face of adversity is never a good idea.
