Look, obviously my emotional reaction to that press conference is to punch a wall so hard either it or my knuckles break.

But let put that on hold for a moment and ask, very dispassionately and calmly:

What American national interest objective or foreign policy goal was served by that shit-show?

The US just voted alongside Russia, Belarus and North Korea against a UN resolution to support Ukraine.

This is a wake-up call for all those cheerleading Trump in our country.

Brexiters supposedly want to make Britain great again & think they can do that by courting a man who is trashing his own country.
We make Britian great again by standing up to authoritarianism & showing them that the EU came into existence because of our vow to never again let fascism win.

Those accusing the ICC of being “political” do not fully understand the law.

Post WWII, we in “the West” stipulated a set of shared rules that we believed applied to everyone - enemies, allies and ourselves.

If an ally breaches those rules, the rules have not suddenly become “political” overnight.

Incredible, how casually Kuenssberg skates over the fact she got the facts flat-out wrong in her framing of the opening question, in order to make a hostile editorial point.

Just presses on, as if a minister having to put her right on basic inaccuracies is an ordinary part of any BBC interview.
