NEH just sent new guidance about terminated awards that includes the following: "7. Appeals--NEH is not offering a means of dispute resolution"

Yet that is clearly at odds with the Terms & Conditions for Orgs governing our awards. They are trying to discourage appeals. Submit them anyway.
NEH Grantees with Terminated Grants--the 30 day window for appeal is almost here. If your DOGE termination letter is dated April 2, then it is recommended to submit via eGMS by May 1. Having spoken w/ a number of sources, here's the best info I could gather on appealing your grant termination.

@duckworth.senate.gov @durbin.senate.gov we need you to speak up for the NEH! So far, DOGE has terminated 43 grants in the state of IL, totaling ~$11.7M dollars. That is less than one thousandth of the federal budget, but it makes a HUGE difference for our state! Please help us protect this agency!

The Trump administration, with Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, has gutted a small federal agency that provides funding to libraries and museums nationwide.

This threatens student field trips, classes for seniors, and access to digital library services.
The DOGE Axe Comes for Libraries and Museums
The Institute of Museum and Library Services has long received bipartisan support. But after years of trying, President Donald Trump has delivered it a crushing blow.

I spent the last five years serving public history, arts, and culture at NEH. Please take a moment to let your representatives know you support NEH. Or read on and I can tell you a little bit about why I believe in public funding for the humanities.
On Monday, March 31, 2025 we learned that DOGE is targeting the NEH with the aim of substantially reducing its staff, cutting the agency’s grant programs, and rescinding grants that have already been awarded.

When people ask how those without access to systems of power might combat the rising fascist tide — think of graffiti. The radical orgs of the 70s knew this. It’s visible, it sticks in the mind, it establishes the presence of the speaker not as an individual but as a representative of the collective

The CSU's literally *shutting majors & firing faculty* at the same time as it *pays multi-millions to Silicon Valley companies* for this climate-disaster plagiarism machine. It's unconscionable. The money (state money!) is being siphoned from students/faculty, for the CSU to be tech bro paradise.

Like all CSU, SSU is an institution that serves first generation and minoritized students. California has chronically underfunded the CSU and has billions in reserve.
