Today I am urging Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith to place the FAIR BET Act on the committee calendar. Now is the time to fix the unfair 90% tax deduction for gambling losses that negatively impacts professional and casual players. See my full letter to the Chairman below.

I am pleased to see that portions of my RESTRAIN Act were included in the NDAA which just passed the House, eliminating the possibility of seeing mushroom clouds in our backyard.

This week, the House floor will take up the Republican PERMIT Act which exempts many of our waterways in Nevada from Clean Water Act protections. I introduced an amendment to this legislation to safeguard our waterways and ensure clean water for #OnlyinDistrictOne.

I am strongly urging Secretary Rollins to follow through with USDA’s government shutdown contingency plan to keep SNAP funds flowing. The Administration’s refusal to use SNAP reserves leaves millions of families hungry.
