I live about 750-feet from TN Congressional District 7, so I can't vote for @aftynbehn.bsky.social. But I CAN donate to her campaign, and I just did. You can too: www.aftynforcongress.com

The most amazing bike/ped safety pro ever to come out of Nashville is at it again. An NBC News reporter NYC came to Littleton to do the story. It "aired" online today on NBC Now, but my guess is it will make its way onto local stations around the country too. www.nbcnews.com/now/video/tr...

The homemade safety beacon works great. Cars are slowing down mostly because they're not sure what it is.

Should I patent this? Plan is put it in an intersection in front of my house tonight to keep drivers alert. We don't get a ton of trick-or-treaters, but that almost makes it more dangerous because it's not as obvious to people that kids are out.

If you believe in free bus fares in New York City or other big cities, you really need this article by @emmbadger.bsky.social.

It covers all the nuances that get lost in the shouting, explaining both why free fares are popular and why they're hard.

Nashville feels your pain. @walkbikenashville.bsky.social
Last month at the DOTI Advisory Board meeting, Director Ford said on the record that the Alameda Road safety project was going ahead. Now, DOTI is flip flopping again and changing professionally designed safety improvements to accommodate a wealthy NIMBY that complained to the manager.

I’m sure this is difficult, and obviously VU’s to make. But I’ll gently share this reminder that in 1914 Vanderbilt and Chancellor Kirkland asserted their independence from the Methodist Church, and it has certainly been thriving since…

Shout out to the Coca Cola products delivery truck who did NOT smash over the delineators and part in the bike lane on Demonbreun this morning!

Take note Nashville. The vast majority of complaints I hear about e-bikes are actually about e-scooters. They're not the same thing.
Ride Illinois served as a panelist for the Summit on E-Bike/E-Scooter/E-Moto Ordinances hosted by the Northwest Municipal Conference. Ride Illinois has identified the need to clearly differentiate between legal classes of e-bikes and e-motos as a top priority.

Today's bike lane blockages. 2706 Natchez Trace, 971 Church, and same company, same truck as last week at 947 Church. @nashvilledot.bsky.social can save money by installing concrete protection instead of flexiposts that drivers ignore & sending "enforcement" personnel where violations have ended.

This morning s Tennesseean has "mind blowing numbers" about Vanderbilt's football game on Saturday. Most mind-blowing of all, is that Vanderbilt somehow is 2-1 in the SEC, having only played one SEC game.

Busy HUB morning. 4 total on a short portion of Church Street - including one item I didn't submit from 9-10-2025. And yeah, the pic of the car is horrible. Was heading to work and didn't have a chance to make sure I got a good shot.
