The homemade safety beacon works great. Cars are slowing down mostly because they're not sure what it is.

Should I patent this? Plan is put it in an intersection in front of my house tonight to keep drivers alert. We don't get a ton of trick-or-treaters, but that almost makes it more dangerous because it's not as obvious to people that kids are out.

Today's bike lane blockages. 2706 Natchez Trace, 971 Church, and same company, same truck as last week at 947 Church. @nashvilledot.bsky.social can save money by installing concrete protection instead of flexiposts that drivers ignore & sending "enforcement" personnel where violations have ended.

This morning s Tennesseean has "mind blowing numbers" about Vanderbilt's football game on Saturday. Most mind-blowing of all, is that Vanderbilt somehow is 2-1 in the SEC, having only played one SEC game.

Instead of spending money NDOT enforcement personnel who cannot get to locations before the improperly parked vehicle is moved, Metro should divert funding to this type of actual bike lane protection.

But concrete would make this harder. This morning on Demonbreun. I've stopped reporting to HUB because @nashvilledot.bsky.social fails to follow up with property owners to prevent this use of the traffic (bike) lane.
