I know a kid who was in the building where the shooting happened and another who was in a building across the street. Both are fine but both know shooting victims and have had a hell of a last day. So terrible.

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

Gonna say it: Rupp Arena isn’t any better a home court and maybe not as good as the Smith Center. I’d put the energy at nearly the same as against a mid-major. It’s…underwhelming. Kansas was SO much better.

I’m not sure that wasn’t the UNC fans in the building vs KU fans who just didn’t care. More UNC here than I would have thought!
No SEC loyalty here. The Kentucky crowd cheered as it watched Syracuse beat Tennessee on the big screens.

I like fruity frozen liquor drinks and friends do give me some shit for it, but the worst I ever got was from a waitress. She literally asked me in front of a huge group of people if I wanted a BRA with my strawberry daiquiri. We all still laugh about it, but fuck that lady.
So many men go through life like that. You can play poker because it's right-coded, you can't enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks because they're women-coded, you can't lick an ice cream cone because it's gay-coded. All day, every day, choosing and judging things based on coding for narrow norms.

DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2
All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.
I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail

One thing I love about Hawaii for some reason: it’s 7:15am, the sun is barely up, it rained so the ground is soaked, it’s windy, it’s somewhat cool…probably 72F…and there are already kids at the pool. I know it’s due to the time difference of where these people are from, but it always cracks me up.
