While we are watching the damage here, a far away land has reached a tipping point.

More than 1,000 scientists took to the streets in Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina wearing gas masks to protest cuts to science. There is no future w/o #science.

It is a mistake to believe that what is happening in the US is an exception exclusively to Trump's America 🇺🇸.

The same interests and agents there are already present all over the western world.

We need to prepare, discuss and organize before the hit comes.

The idea of capuchins (like Ross's monkey Marcel in Friends) running off with infant howler monkeys at first seemed weird and sort of cute to me.

But it doesn't end well for the infant howler monkeys... 🧪 #primates #animalbehaviour #zoology #monkeys

A bright side of this is progressives did well in House races which is more evidence that we SHOULD move left for electability. For example AOC outran Harris significantly in her district which had the second biggest swing towards Trump in the country.
We can do this. We have to restructure our party with politicians who understand how the 21st century works and not the dark ages.

Giving homeless folks $1K/month SAVED the city almost $600K. Why is it so difficult for Americans to understand that investing in its citizens benefits everyone?

Oh, wait, that would be socialism, and god forbid we do anything that could be seen as such. Gotta pull ‘em up by those bootstraps.
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.
