One of the women in my happy hour group also grew up in Cary, NC (we even worked at the same mall, which has since become the Epic Games campus), but we knew no one in common.
Tonight, we discovered we know the same tigers, as we both did stuff with Carolina Tiger Rescue. I find this hilarious.

It's honestly weird living in an area where I have to go to a place a couple of blocks from the White House to pick up my partner's contacts.
Like, it's so mundane but also horrific? Living in the DC area is kind of a nightmare?

This whole post is excellent but I also distinctly recall my boyfriend circa 2004 wearing my jeans because they didn't make (widely marketed) tight flares for men at the time. Like, it's been a thing for over two decades.
Not true. I'll give you some examples of when styles crossed over from womenswear to menswear, and how men have worn straight-up womenswear or just feminine styles in cool ways. 🧵

I relate to the movie Sunshine, because I too have a remarkable level of attention to detail, expend a surprising amount of effort on a relatively small project, have an all-star cast, as well as a compelling and human story, and my work is still a complete flop that almost nobody saw or cared for
