"The Democrats are pushing reforms that they know won’t work because they are doing performative, perfunctory opposition to try to quiet their base, instead of real legislating and fighting to dismantle Trump’s ICE and CBP." newrepublic.com/article/2059...
Senate Democrats’ ICE Proposals Are a Huge and Inexcusable Whiff
Their opening bid should have been eight or 10 bold proposals. But as usual, the Democrats start by negotiating with themselves.

Anything short of the complete dismantling of ICE and DHS is an insult. Call your senators and keep demanding better.

"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.

Made a hex map. Working on a potential game for the future. 1 hex = 32 miles. Will be dropping villages, cities, and major monster lairs and then dungeons.

The packs awaken in the Umbraafter traveling to Flux witnessing the Wyld rage. They now must head to LA and to try and aid the Garou there and begin their final confrontation with the Good Doctor.

I hate that, just because the GOP is plumbing the depths of depravity, we're not allowed to acknowledge all the times Congressional Dems have (and continue to) fund ICE and such. Or despite decrying GOP executive overreach, never reverse it when they do get in power. Like, this stuff isn't secret.

Abolish ICE is not enough.

Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough.

We need prosecutions and trials.

Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

Don't forget the Supreme Court's role facilitating ICE's brutality and racism in Minneapolis. SCOTUS lifted an injunction that limited racial profiling in immigration enforcement on Sept. 8. The federal assault on Chicago began the next day. Then came the Twin Cities. SCOTUS greenlit these horrors.

As I continue to wonder how I can bring in themes of cosmic bliss into a Cthulhu Game I have been working on some permanent insanity ideas such as "Radical Empathy" where the player must fail a psychology roll or feel everything from a random person's perspective if they lose 2+ san that scene

@legalkimchi.bsky.social just came across my YouTube algorithm and this is an excellent video on the hobby and a thoughtful analysis I feel has been lacking with the art form.

So I think I'm pretty married to my next long game being Call of Cthulhu. Now I need to balance reading like 3 game books to prep for my next game and keep up on the other 2 I'm running. That said I am real close to ending my Werewolf game with a bang after 8 years.

Watching this now, and it's everything I wanted it to be. Story moves at a good pace, great visuals, and it is keeping me entertained.

Mörk Borg forever.
The first episode of Riffs & Realms, the Actual Play series where we play MÖRK BORG with Nuclear Blast Metal musicians, is now LIVE.

I have been having a Digimon itch these past few days. Been watching Tamers and playing Next Order...but I should give Cyber Sleuth and Time Stranger a try here soon. I also heard the new series is "what if Digimon met AI techbro dystopia" so might do that.

Delta Green, Impossible Landscapes yesterday went really well. A more casual game around the table is such a different experience than recording. Some good silly moments were had though and people focused up when things got horrifying

I ran through 3 different game systems in my last Werewolf game (3 systems outside the actual Werewolf system) because I found a meta way of showing how much the Wyld is raging in Flux. It was fun to run but goddamn was that recording hard to edit.

I'm going to tell you this. There is NEVER a time to cut funding to disability.

Disability is and always will be a normal and natural part of human existence. Almost all of us become disabled at some point. We should only be increasing funding.

Don't let them lie and convince you otherwise.
