Nemo - Arthouse (2025 album) is a very much a spiritual successor to Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion (2007 album).

Patient, sobbing: But Doctor, I AM Pagliacci!
ChatGPT: Apologies. I didn't realise when recommending Pagliacci's epic show to cure your depression that you were the genius himself. I'm impressed! With regards to your initial question, I can recommend seeing the Great Clown Pagliacci.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Holy shit corporate chatbots are THE WORST.
Just asked same Q 3 times, first to a "live agent" who directed me to a different bot, who couldn't answer the question so I requested "live agent", who gave me AI nonsense reply and immediately shut down the chat while I was typing a follow-up question.

This reads like Napster take 2. While I'm not generally a fan of the extreme copyright protectionism Hollywood megacorporations demonstrate, AI is hurting creative industries big and small, and the platform has to be held to account for how it is used.

Algorithms are weird. I made this comment under somebody's post on 3 Jan 2024 and it got 4 likes

Cue today and their post has suddenly become really popular again (happy Pride Month?), and I get 15 more likes on my comment...
