Two pictures of my Greenspeed GT20 recumbent trike. I've been riding it since 2016. I fitted a mid drive motor in 2021.

Tuesday's trike ride had a short stop to fix a flat tyre. I dragged the trike onto the grass, got my tools out, and tipped it on its side.

A trike front tyre puncture can be fixed without removing the wheel. I examined the tyre and found nothing.

I fitted a tube, inflated it, and was on my way.

Riding my recumbent trike to the David Hack Classic last Sunday. I turned left at the end of the runway and a biplane flew across my front.

This morning I went for a ride over to the Toowoomba airport to attend the David Hack Classic.

The weather was good and there was lots to see. I slowly pedalled around checking out the classic and vintage cars, and aircraft.

I sketched the replica Spitfire and part of a Ford woody and caravan.

This morning's trike ride followed my usual route until I detoured to the eastville shops. I bought a capaccino then rode back up to Picnic Point. I parked the trike on the grass and did another sketch of the water tower.

Last weekend I went for a two day ride with TRBUG. We rode from Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and back.

We rode 69 km and climbed 1032 m and my batteries were flat when I got to Tenterfield.

On the return I drove the escort vehicle until lunch then rode the trike the rest of the way.

Last weekend TRBUG did a ride from Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and back

On the return trip I drove the rear escort vehicle until the lunch break then rode the trike the rest of the way.

At picturesque Tenterfield we had a pleasant group dinner on Saturday night at one of the hotels.

The Royal Canadian Air Force general who recommended Canada buy the F-35 fighter jet from the US now says the purchase should no longer go forward because America has become so untrustworthy. It would be "irresponsible", he said.

#aukus should be reconsidered now

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.

A vintage racing car parked on the street up from my home. I walked up with my sketching kit and a stool. I sat in the shade of a hedge to sketch.

The car, a Maxwell, had a Wade supercharger with two carburetors in front of the radiator. It wasn't connected but only strapped in place.

“Promising to reduce the size of the public service is a cheap political stunt.”

New research shows that sacking public servants actually costs the country a fortune, as public jobs are replaced by consultants, contractors and labour hire workers.

Cutting the public service saves nothing
Reducing the size of Australia’s public service is often characterised as a way to save the country money and make government departments more efficient.

Three fountain pen and waterbrush sketches from Monday night's life drawing at Toowoomba art society.

This was my second session of the year. The previous Monday both my pens failed from lack of user maintenance! I borrowed a pencil but it wasn't very successful.
