Tuesday's trike ride had a short stop to fix a flat tyre. I dragged the trike onto the grass, got my tools out, and tipped it on its side.

A trike front tyre puncture can be fixed without removing the wheel. I examined the tyre and found nothing.

I fitted a tube, inflated it, and was on my way.

Riding my recumbent trike to the David Hack Classic last Sunday. I turned left at the end of the runway and a biplane flew across my front.

This morning I went for a ride over to the Toowoomba airport to attend the David Hack Classic.

The weather was good and there was lots to see. I slowly pedalled around checking out the classic and vintage cars, and aircraft.

I sketched the replica Spitfire and part of a Ford woody and caravan.

This morning's trike ride followed my usual route until I detoured to the eastville shops. I bought a capaccino then rode back up to Picnic Point. I parked the trike on the grass and did another sketch of the water tower.

Last weekend I went for a two day ride with TRBUG. We rode from Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and back.

We rode 69 km and climbed 1032 m and my batteries were flat when I got to Tenterfield.

On the return I drove the escort vehicle until lunch then rode the trike the rest of the way.

If you can't manage two wheels, try three!

Last weekend TRBUG did a ride from Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and back

On the return trip I drove the rear escort vehicle until the lunch break then rode the trike the rest of the way.

At picturesque Tenterfield we had a pleasant group dinner on Saturday night at one of the hotels.

A vintage racing car parked on the street up from my home. I walked up with my sketching kit and a stool. I sat in the shade of a hedge to sketch.

The car, a Maxwell, had a Wade supercharger with two carburetors in front of the radiator. It wasn't connected but only strapped in place.

Three fountain pen and waterbrush sketches from Monday night's life drawing at Toowoomba art society.

This was my second session of the year. The previous Monday both my pens failed from lack of user maintenance! I borrowed a pencil but it wasn't very successful.

The TRBUG Sunday ride out from Nobby. A pleasant ride on a mix of quiet country asphalt and gravel roads and few flies!

I was told to bring a chair to sit on in the park after the ride. I thought 'I don't need to, I ride a trike'. As soon as we finished the ride I packed the trike into my car!

This BS is everywhere. It's prolific in the Toowoomba time warp.

This morning I did a 62 km loop average 20 km/h.

I went out past the tip then crossed the highway. The road turned to gravel and then to rutted tyre tracks which disappeared in the long grass.

I had to carefully negotiate some awkward bits but it wasn't rough enough to give up.

Today I was waiting at Grand Central shopping centre. While I waited I sat and sketched.

I sketched a stall worker talking to a customer. An elderly man sat opposite to me so I added him in.

A tatted up man sat near me so I started to sketch him. He left almost immediately!

I envy you! It took retirement for me to achieve that goal. Me with my motto!

This morning I met with some TRBUG members and rode out to Highfields where we met with other members, then 24 of us rode to Cooby Dam.
After a break we rode back to Highfields for a Christmas bbq lunch.
When lunch was over we rode back to Toowoomba.
I rode 69 km.

Near the end of last Sunday's ride l heard a rubbing noise coming from the rear of the trike. I stopped and looked for anything caught in the wheel but there was nothing.
I removed the cluster and found some stalk twisted around the axle. I went for a test ride today and the noise was gone.

You don't have to go that far!

On Sunday I met with the BUG for a longish ride. We looped out of town, stopped at Wyreema, then rode back and finished for coffee.
One road was blocked to traffic, we detoured around the blockage. I had to drag my trike backwards to get past.
Temp 30 C, distance 61 km.

This morning I went for a ride with the TRBUG. We met for morning tea at the cafe at Cobb and Co museum, then rode our usual route finishing near the Uni.
After we split up I rode around town then stopped on Mary St, sat in the shade, and sketched a cafe and a house being renovated over the road.
