Dear NYT: every godawful thing is "celebrated" by someone somewhere, but that is not how a neutral and informed person would characterize the overall reception to "The Double Helix." Not in 1968 and certainly not since.

I must once again renew my call for a soda for people who are neither Mr. nor Dr. but ABD. They need soda most of all.

It was such a comfort when my grandma died of "flu-like symptoms" that she didn't actually have the flu.
On a related note, great news for the 1.1 million Americans who have lost their jobs this year!

Not begging for forgiveness. She DECLARED that she was forgiven.
Anyone can do the non-apology apology ("I'm sorry if you got mad because of how great I am") but she really took it to the logical extreme ("You are no longer mad about what I did").

Hell for Musk will be having to sit and listen attentively while the shade of Tolkien painstakingly walks him through every line of his work, with regular quizzes in both Quenya and Sindarin.
Also, every half hour the shade of Iain M. Banks strangles him.

Oh really she just likes cute cat pics. Any picture of your cute cat will be great! She did a literal pinup calendar photo shoot of her last cat (he was very chill about it) so we're good on, like, full-on high-production-value cat photography.
