Next time you get out of your car time how long from stopping, getting out of your car, picking up a parcel (couriers might have 100-200 parcels on board), walking up path, finding doorbell, waiting for someone
etc....
all for £0.35 a parcel
Unrealistic !!!!!!!!!

Bertrand Russell is right not to single out a religion....

Cruel men, around the world, are wrapping themselves tightly in the shrouds of religion, especially those parts of religion that espouse inhumanity and crimes against Universal Human Rights
American evangelicals today seem to be almost entirely in the former group:

“Cruel men believe in a cruel god & use their belief to excuse their cruelty.
Only kindly men believe in a kindly god, & they would be kindly in any case.”
Bertrand Russell

The next quote of his is equally applicable…

So, just a little mental adjustment I need people to do regarding climate news:

Make yourself do the arithmetic of years.

2040 *seems* like the distant future, especially if you’re, like, from the 20th century.

But it is 15 years from now.

Do you remember 2010?

Equidistant.

The world is caving to the petro-overlords on methane emissions.

If you thought climate change was bad now, we're just getting cooking!
We are losing the most important climate fight.

"The U.S. has demanded that the ‌European Union exempt its oil and gas from obligations ‌under the bloc's methane emissions law on fuel imports until 2035"

The science is on our side. The economics are on our side. Not the politicians.

A better future is possible, but that requires political leaders to set out a vision, be honest with the public about what needs to change, and be willing to confront vested interests.

Small target politics will not achieve this, instead condemning the country to a future of relative decline.
