It’s been a pleasure working with Lex and everyone in the politics vertical at Teen Vogue. I’m heartbroken that my column, Disability Visibility, is gone. Teen Vogue was one of the few places that published disabled journalists regularly. I just spent the last 2 months working on my next column
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

This is the message. Make it clear that these billionaires aren't just worried about losing money. They're worried about losing the ability to exchange their money for power.

There is no purpose other than power. This is not ok.

Remember when the Trump admin tried to shut down the Social Security call line — falsely claiming 40% of callers were “fraudsters”?

Now they’re scrambling to fix it, because millions of Americans rely on it.

You can’t gut a vital agency and then pretend to care when it breaks.

Planting trees was good enough for the jobs program serving my Okie ancestors during the Depression.
One of the more maddening things that emerged during this week’s DC trip was that apparently Noem doesn’t approve of FEMA disaster prevention $$$ being used to plant trees. Trees are one of the cheapest AND most effective flood mitigation tools that exists, esp. in areas with mining/logging damage
I do not know how disaster survivors will ever make it through recovery in this administration — many couldn’t do it when there were people who cared in power— it’s infinitely worse now.

He's stripping those here *legally* of their documents.
Even some GOP lawmakers have now begun to criticize him:
