Looking forward to a Canada with basic income in order to build an economy that will be the envy of the world.

I hope your plan includes a basic income floor. That's how to enable everyone to better manage the current crisis and all future crises.

Jonathan Pedneault would have stripped them down, re-dressed and then stripped them down again.

This peripheral debate is disappointing.

Another 4 years of income inequality on the way.

Lest we forget.
As we watch Trump's attack on universities, remember that Poilievre promises to appoint a "Free Speech Guardian" for universities.
A university could lose its federal funding if this politically appointed "guardian" recommends it.

This is the kind of thing I see with universal basic income polling.

Poll: "People would stop working if provided basic income independent of work."

45% agree
55% disagree

Poll: "YOU would stop working if provided basic income independent of work."

More in No, Other People:

New poll:

“America would be better off if more people worked in manufacturing.”

• 80% of Americans agree
• 20% disagree

“I would be better off if I worked in a factory.”

• 25% of Americans agree
• 73% disagree
• 2% currently work in a factory

Share pictures from the protests today, and amplify them when others share. The public hates what the GOP is doing to this country--and it's critical for everyone to know that people are fighting back.

Adjustments to how we collect taxes and stopping subsidies for large corporations will pay for everything.

-Free post secondary tuition
-UBI
-Better health care and education

Trickle down economics does not work. We cannot subsidize large corporations anymore.

I know trump is a big concern during this election campaign but, we must not lose sight of the opportunity.

Unfettered free market capitalism has caused the cost of living crisis. A 50 year endeavour.

We need tax reform not tax cuts. Make the ultra wealthy pay.

We have seen the incompetence.
There is no way they can keep track of these tariffs.

How long until they slip up and forget who and how much 😂

A reminder to reporters: Because Trump tariff numbers are made-up nonsense, using the phrase “reciprocal tariffs” is lying to your audience. The phrase itself is propaganda. They are not reciprocal.

And note that the reason CTV cites for ending the segment is the 'distraction'/not having the bandwidth to deal with the attacks. That's not a legitimate reason to ditch a segment if you're concerned about media ethics. That's a surrender to trolls.

Both sides are too extreme. I am a CENTRIST. And as a centrist I believe in:
-Universal basic income
-Universal healthcare
-Billionaires shouldn’t exist
-Huge cuts to military spending
-Free higher education
-Banning private equity from buying all the homes

ITS JUST COMMON SENSE
going to start calling myself a centrist and then listing all my leftist views as proof, just going to start moving the overton window by force

Also we paid for the R&D.
In 2019, Pfizer reported ZERO taxable profits in the US—despite selling $20 BILLION worth of drugs to American patients.

By reporting their profits offshore, they dodged billions in taxes and paid a 5.4% tax rate.

Don't tell me our tax code isn't rigged for giant corporations.
