I was nearly kicked out of my grade 7 class during a Holocaust module. because I shared that Nazis made buttons, soap, and lampshades from human body parts. The teacher threatened to have me, a Jewish girl, kicked out of class, because that fact made a white Christian girl start crying.

The government just removed legal status for a million immigrants that goes into effect in September. They can and will do whatever they want because we no longer live in a democracy.
Decertifying nearly 800,000 marriages would devastate American socioeconomic systems in ways that we cannot fathom. Not only would queer people lose social recognition of their relationships, they would also lose tax, insurance, and other economic benefits given by marriage. Unnecessary cruelty.
But I was told by the New York Times that marriage equality was a stunning success that succeeded because of its modest political goals.
Almost like the last two decades of progress were hollow assimilationism into a collapsing neoliberal order rather than actual liberation.
