One of the big problem with dealing with the Boring Company's obvious snake oil is that a lot of local media is run by morons
Imagine a trip to Nashville that takes just minutes. 🚗💨

The company behind the underground tunnels in Tennessee's capital is considering expanding them across the state. t.ly/SrYfw

It's important to be a woke Rome guy because a distressing amount of people who are casually Rome guys are reading and repeating the most insane and catastrophically wrong shit you've ever seen

This is like the only old tweet of mine that consistently gets some kind of engagement at least every few weeks and I dread to know what kind of hellish mega thread of quote tweets is leading people to it

The more I learn about the actual practice of state building in the context of either medieval vassalage/manorialism or the Roman military administrative bureaucracy the more I become convinced that the Inka Tawantinsuyu is the most remarkable pre-modern state building project ever

I know this is all proof that I'm a fake fan but it's funny to be reminded that, in all the talk of woke overrun about the idea of making an original movie about a warrior woman in Rohan, they were actually pulling on a thread specifically mentioned in the appendices/lost tales

It seems that the current EU5 meta as Byz is to just immediately bum rush the Ottomans and try to neuter them out of the gate which is pretty funny

The game options have a specific toggle for this and it's even passive aggressive to you if you pick the correct option

Guy reading and commenting on EU5 patch notes on YouTube making a point of saying "Rome" every time the patch notes say "Byzantium"

Very funny to claim to be surprised by Zohran being pro-housing when he was going around talking about learning from Steven Fulop and stuff like that lol. Like if you are surprised by YIMBY Zohran you just weren't paying attention
the left nimby crashout bc Zohran actually wants to build more housing is genuinely so funny

Now that I'm into the growth of colonies in earnest in EU5 in the 17th century I would like to note that some very wonky stuff is going on lol

Started watching Babylon 5 for the first time recently and reflecting on how it would be cool if you could make a TV show that was kind of cheap looking despite being high concept sci Fi/fantasy and just have that be okay

EU5 has a lot of kind of baffling UI issues, including ones that were already addressed in EU5. Like, why are the factors that affect institution spread not on the tooltip? It just shows you a list of locations where it *can* spread, which is mostly useless
