The bill, HB 1399, was introduced by Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) and Sen. Raumesh Akbari (D-Memphis).
Lawmakers pushing to increase minimum wage to $20 from $7.25 in TN
Simply put, this bill would require employers to pay employees at an hourly rate of no less than $20 an hour.
