Case-control study - 150 premies
- AKI in NEC = Higher mortality (60%v21%)
- Premies with NEC are 3.6x more likely to develop AKI when controlling for PDA, Nephrotoxins, BW/GA

The Irish government has released a report on the benefits of the pilot for a Basic Income for the Arts, and in a total shocker, it seems like it was good for the country as well as the artists.

Nobody could have seen this coming.

Infants with a ⬆️ PDA score have a ⬆️ risk of AKI. Ibuprofen use is also associated with AKI. PDA diameter alone is not a reliable predictor. Read our latest paper here (Open Access).
