No shallots. No sesame oil (though recipe does call for it, I think it overpowers). Scallions. Lots of ginger. Lots of garlic. The Sichuan broad bean paste. Then low sodium veggie stock with sugar, little low sodium soy, Chinkiang vinegar. And corn starch/water slurry to thicken at the end.
