Turns out our most critical job above all else is to protect Democracy and The Rule of Law from Donald Trump and Fascism. Again. My best advice? Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out. Then Resist.

Even as other legacy media outlets are coming around to the fact that the DOJ Epstein File release was a sham, the Washington Post continues to parrot the administration's talking points.

“.. After the release of thousands of Epstein files on Friday, The New York Times contacted Ms. Farmer .. She broke down in tears.

“I’ve waited 30 years,” she said. “I can’t believe it. They can’t call me a liar anymore.”

The White House has been caught.

The administration inserted a photo of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross into the Epstein files and falsely implied it showed them with victims.

In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.

Khanna: Congress is talking about possible impeachment. They're talking about inherent contempt for the attorney general or deputy attorney general—any justice department official who has obstructed justice could face prosecution in this administration or a future administration.

WOW: Fox News reports that the DOJ used the same redaction standards for “politically exposed individuals and government officials” as it did for victims.

Garcia: In our initial estimation—It could be that we're only getting about 10% of what the DOJ has. And of that 10%, 5% of that has already been released. And the other 5% is highly redacted. So we're getting very little so far

OK. This is way out of bounds. Who out there is explaining what we need to do about this? STAT.
It's hard to fathom but we are now *here* on this path to fascism.

I'm in a tranche of photos that appear to be from inside one of Epstein's houses.

They did not de-dupe this, so there's a lot of duplication.

These are the tactics used by people trying to slow down a document review to hide the good stuff.

So I'm searching the newly released files from the DOJ. There is a note that says some docs aren't searchable due to handwriting, but I know from OCR experience that's not how this works.

Also, there are already errors in the search functionality and they are significant.

I cannot emphasize how serious an assault on democracy this is. Any effort by the Trump administration to engage in false claims of fraud or mass voter suppression relies on this as a building block. As importantly, there is no legitimate reason DOJ would want this information.

Trump’s Hunger Games???
The Hunger Games was supposed to be a cautionary tale, not a handbook.

This isn’t going to work for me. And I’ll just add that when he is impeached and convicted again & then indicted and convicted in the courts, we’ll remove that title just like they removed his name from buildings all over New York City.
They just renamed the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center.

What are we doing.
