I don't care how good you are, I will donate to your primary opponent unless you call for Schumer's removal
None of the 8 are up in 2026, this is the trick Schumer is playing on the rubes. The entire caucus is unified on the deal. These 8 are just taking the heat because they can afford to.

The only reasonable position is to primary every D who won't call for removing Schumer.

Yeah Moulton is the sort who would have caved on this.

If Markey wants to win the primary he should go scorched earth. Replace Schumer, vote against (& refuse to even give a vote to) any and all trump nominees (especially scotus), etc...

Hochul approved the permit for a gas-fired bitcoin mining facility on the same day she approved the Williams pipeline.

She can't pretend to care about affordability - just profitability of the gas industry.
Between this and the NESE water permit approval, Hochul has just fully gone to war with the environmental and climate justice communities.

These permits were both DENIED previously. UNDER HER LEADERSHIP.

Welp, so much for running this morning. Maybe later
November 8, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Mother fucking fuckity fuck.
BREAKING: Hochul just did Trump’s bidding by approving the massive Williams fracked gas pipeline.

Hochul’s dirty deal with Trump will jack up our utility bills, pollute our air & water, and cook the climate.

Join us at 3:30 outside her office 919 3rd Avenue to protest TODAY.

I'd rather have a politician who does great stuff on climate and never talks about it than a politician who talks about climate but never does anything about it.

Thinking about this as I slow down to saunter through the crosswalk on my evening run, making eye contact with the car commuters in their SUVs and Dodge chargers. Kiss my ass, Cuomo voters

Anyway, Hot Girls for Zohran
The transit riders vs drivers election.

I did not think today could get any better but then it did
Anti-trust champion Lina Khan, the Wall Street Journal's Enemy Number One, is on Zohran's transition team.

Khan: “I think what we saw last night was New Yorkers not just electing a new mayor, but clearly rejecting a politics where outside corporate power and money too often.”

This is the way forward and I love it.

Part of me wishes air quality would also be an issue that motivates people but so far it's not, oh well. It just motivates ME
The blueprint for winning big on climate also came out last night. No more technocratic, policy wonk approaches. People showed they care about utility bills, free buses, affordable housing, etc. These are all climate issues. Talk about climate in terms people understand and experience.

I love it here

Ok now I have to look up what Jay Jones said

This was the most special spider encounter - at dusk in July in Pinnacles National Park a few years ago. Lucky we started the hike late in the afternoon or we wouldn't have seen it.

This absolutely rocks! Feel like it should be more than 1 train per day, but it's a start!

Metro-North to extend service to Albany, competing with Amtrak service
Gov. Hochul says the expansion will partially fill in for reduced Amtrak service as the national railway repairs the East River rail tunnels heading into Manhattan.

If you're in need of something good right now, might I suggest this absolutely hilarious documentary about extreme birdwatching. It really is worth two hours of your time. You don't even have to care about birdwatching!

Partway through "Careless People" by Sarah Wynn-Williams and the bonkers shit just keeps getting worse. We all knew Facebook was evil but it's even worse than I thought. Makes that picture of Zuck and all the other tech billionaires smiling with Trump seem inevitable

Gripping story well told

The Climate Changemakers method is excellent - they host drop-in action sessions where you get a quick issue briefing, take action for an hour, then peace out. Highly recommended!

The CRP chapters really know their stuff locally and have some solid wins to their credit. Makes for a powerful combo!
THIS IS BIG! Change happens when people come together to push leaders + demand better. That’s why Climate Reality + Climate Changemakers are uniting to build a stronger movement for climate action. Learn more: www.climaterealityproject.org/climate-chan...

Feeling glad and very surprised that some nagging aches and pains went away after switching to a fresh new pair of running shoes. Bummed that the old pair only made it ~300 miles. (exact same model)

Maybe I'm getting old - can't run 'em into the ground the way I used to

I submitted my comment. I talked about the urgent need to build renewables to replace the methane-burning power plants that NYPA currently runs - for the sake of our local air quality as well as the climate.
In 2023, we won the Build Public Renewables Act — a groundbreaking law empowering NYS to speed up the clean energy transition and lower your bills with publicly-owned power.

Today is the deadline to tell the New York Power Authority that we need a plan for 15 GW by 2030. Take urgent action below.
