This crazy watercolour and ink sketch was done in the Mary Challis garden in Sawston near Cambridge. I was working at speed because it started to rain. I rather like the frenetic effect and it's all the better for not having been tarted up later.

Just finishing up this plaid hat with ear flaps that my son requested. Joining the two layers with applied i-cord. Yarns are Malabrigo Ultimate Sock in Cereza, Knit Picks Stroll in Train Station Tonal and Jubilee Yarns Elixir Mohair in Manhattan. #showmeyourknits #knitsky
