I'm definitely older than thirty.
Given the man's psychological history, what are the odds that Donald Trump will spend his eternity in Hell drowning in mashed potatoes?

If the reports that Hegseth ordered no quarter, and that two survivors of the first boat attack were killed as they were clinging to the wreckage, are true then this is a war-crime. Hegseth, the commander of the mission, and the men who carried out any follow-up strike would all share in this guilt.
Can't wait until he's convicted of murder. 💥

If these allegations are true, then it may be time to send alternative contact details or farewells to those people one only reaches on Facebook.
Meta was aware that millions of adult strangers were contacting minors on its sites; that its products exacerbated mental health issues in teens; and that content related to eating disorders, suicide, and child sexual abuse was frequently detected, yet rarely removed.

A gentle reminder on behalf of small creators — if you can't remember buying a subscription or a product, just reach out to them. 🙂 Like me, I'm sure they'd be happy to refund you.

But disputing it as "fraudulent" (when maybe you just forgot) has a real cost to the creator. ❤️

Sadly, Grok seems to have been tweaked away from its panegyrics of Mr. Musk, at least when answering the question, "Who could take a hundred-man anal gangbang better, gay porn star Rod Daily or Elon Musk?"

However, the "Make it funnier" option presented, and the "Amp up Elon absurdity further"

This is another type of foundational work required to slowly undermine a republic or democracy, rather than violently overthrow it. The old question, "Who watches the watchmen?", applies here - with an observation that the attack on the USA's democracy was carefully planned and expertly executed.
"It’s impossible to imagine today’s crisis without the Roberts court having first undermined the foundations of our democracy."

Poisoning the well of discourse with propaganda is one of the foundational actions of an authoritarian government that intends to stay around. Forget the Dear Leader for now, despite his vicious crimes, and look to the dynasties that want to perpetuate themselves.

I wonder whether Ghislaine Maxwell will state that she lied under oath out of fear of Donald Trump?

When a publisher decides to publish a work of propaganda in tense times, one might ask oneself: "Do I really need the books that they sell?"

There's an old trope about the spell dying with the sorcerer, and I can't help but notice that Dick Cheney has fallen off his perch.

The antagonist doesn't seem to be able to die. The protagonist keeps hallucinating the ghosts of the people he's killed during his career. The protagonist might not be hallucinating.

Chip Roy's line, "There is a king and that king is Jesus", has some potentially interesting, and deeply heretical, interpretations when Trump is describing himself as a monarch. I wonder if he intended people to think of the Orange One as the Second Coming, or if he just uses sloppy wording?

So, Xi's apparently had a second or third stroke; Trump's declining into dementia, and Steven Miller appeared to have a micro-seizure on live TV; and Putin is in the grip of megalomania.

Maybe these aren't the very best people to be in charge of nuclear-armed countries? Just a thought.

Well, at least nobody seems to be engaging in nuclear brinkmanship. That's for the best: I hesitate to think about what Europe would do to gain control of Russian grain-fields if Putin's army deliberately polluted Ukraine's arable lands.

NEW: Rachel Maddow drops unseen bodycam footage of feds coordinating the arrest of Newark Mayor Baraka.

I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.

Scythes were still in use in agriculture in the mid-20th century, and I know of at least one accident from the 1930s in which a child lost a leg because she got too close to the cutting. Don't underestimate such tools - they really do mean business.
Appreciation post for every video game and fantasy novel that lets the characters use a scythe as a weapon despite how impractical it is because it's just really fuckin cool.

Given the consistent profile of political murderers and mass shooters in the United States, may I raise the modest proposal that preference should be given to gun ownership by non-white, queer and kinky people? That or members of a well-ordered militia, who might police their own.
