And then we can move onto rebuilding Sheerness and reconnecting it to the sea, rebuilding the heart of Sittingbourne and bringing its high street back to its former glory, and getting good homes for everyone locally who needs them to live a healthy, happy and prosperous life.

Rant over.

New ‪@compassoffice.bsky.social‬ polling shows Labour members overwhelmingly want bolder offer on democracy, the economy, child poverty and much more. The government is out of step with the mainstream of the Labour Party and must reset to transform the country. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

This is reminiscent of the situation in 2011-14, when unhappiness with both Cons and LDs drove large Labour poll leads (and UKIP's first surge) but polls consistently showed Ed Miliband doing poorly on "who would be best as PM?" questions. Labour steadily sank once that Q came into focus.

Online Gambling is incredibly harmful and addictive, and gambling companies are using exploitative techniques to create this addiction. It’s time to replace the legislation and treat harmful gambling as the public health crisis that it is.

A really important issue👇
We need a banking hub for Sheerness. People must be able to choose who they bank with and nobody should be left behind because of access to tech.

I will be liaising with the Treasury to better understand the rollout and push for Sheerness to be prioritised.

‘One branch for 40,000 people - but still we’re not eligible for banking hub’
A community plagued by bank closures has been told it is not in line for a new initiative designed to make up for the loss of services.
