Yep, but without proportional representation, Sanchez wouldn't have managed to form a gov. And without the pressure of the small independentist parties & others, Sanchez wouldn't have been so bold. Lab has a huge majority, Sanchez doesn't & has to compromise and move towards a more left wing agenda.

This is reminiscent of the situation in 2011-14, when unhappiness with both Cons and LDs drove large Labour poll leads (and UKIP's first surge) but polls consistently showed Ed Miliband doing poorly on "who would be best as PM?" questions. Labour steadily sank once that Q came into focus.
