"Trump and Miller both judge people by their ethnic group, and they judge those ethnic groups by the condition of their ancestral country." This sort of racial collectivism is absolutely at the glowing core of MAGA fury. The thing is, though, that U.S. public opinion isn't on board with it.

Has anyone written a coherent, good-faith argument *against* a ban on stock trading by members of Congress, or in favor of the status quo? What is the argument lawmakers use when explaining why they don't want a vote on the matter? Having trouble finding.

They are running the government according to the logic of right-wing grievance media. I cannot emphasize that enough. The point is to create content, and they don't see an actual difference between dunking on Sabrina Carpenter, passing legislation, and bombing other countries.
I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.

This is so f’d up—people being singled out, essentially for their race, on what is supposed to be a joyous day of their citizenship ceremony and being told they can’t proceed

Typically, the phrase,"Fog of War is used to describe decisions made in complex armed conflicts.

Bombing a boat might create a fog like cover as it explodes, and illegally bombing an non combatant boat while using the term,"Fog of War", is completely inappropriate and foolish, though quite dramatic.

In a new statement, the White House — led by Trump, a liable sexual abuser mired in scandal for ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — suggests Carpenter is "stupid" and is defending pedophiles and rapists.

We owe these Afghani-Americans a lot. We owe our troops who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq a lot. The constitution demands everyone here the law as a shield against caprice. In the GWOT, we owe ourselves a fuller accounting, at the very least because the 2001 AUMF is still in effect.

Two things that make this video different from the pandering performative gestures we're all used to:

1. He already won. He doesn't have to do this anymore

2. This video centers a community organization and the good work they do, then promises that city hall will help them do it
