legitimately love this guy.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Any other time, any other President, and "the dude was in a global conspiracy to fuck them kids" would have been 24/7 coverage. Even Dubya.

I remember the fucking Lewinsky coverage. Our media have become craven hacks carrying water for rich pedophiles and I feel insane typing that but there it is.

These dogs were spotted taking a group photo in their Halloween costumes. We're impressed by the dog walker's dedication to getting the shot, but that ghost definitely wishes he could actually disappear. 14/10 for all (TT: franklinbarkzoo)

1. The president says he has the power to pay members of the military even though the government’s fiscal year ended on September 30.

That may seem acceptable. After all, why should those who serve the country suffer while partisans blame each other for the shutdown?

It isn’t acceptable.

I need to remember this because it’s also about my brother.
Scott Jennings is a very good liar. CNN knows it. There's no benefit to the public in having him on. The only thing he does accomplish, in addition to spreading lies, is making honest people feel insane.

Sherrill in 2025 really does remind me of Kerry in 2004 — they’re coasting on a military background that voters just don’t care about while her opponent is savaging her as an out-of-touch elitist liberal.

As a NJ resident, I’m begging the Democrats to get their shit together
It's a conventional Dem campaign from 20 years ago, which wasn't a good model back then let alone now. The only message that sticks is that she's ready to fly a military helicopter around New Jersey and a generic vague message about her opponent wanting to tax people.

The most impressive thing about this campaign is how *creative* they are. They’re trying new stuff! Multiple times during the last few months I’ve thought “wow, I’ve never seen a campaign do that.” Much more of that needed everywhere.
