Religious people inadvertently harm Humanity (themselves & society). Religion is a mental health issue. Ancient elite created religion as psychological warfare, used on the masses to better control & manipulate them. Religion is not benign.

That’s a lovely thought. But it could never happen with Donald Trump serving as president, and would never have been necessary if he weren’t.

AI’s energy impact is still small—but how we handle it is huge
The rising energy cost of data centers is a vital test case for how we deal with the broader electrification of the economy.

As a generally friendly person, I ...

A) Don't talk to people on planes.
B) Am *especially* annoyed by this bc it gives the "I'm an introvert and therefore better and smarter than you are" people ammo.
Unpopular opinion: I know it's cool to wear your earbuds and carry a book while pasting a disinterested, don't-talk-to-me expression on your face, but I like to talk to the person sitting beside me on airplanes. I liked it when we were willing to be inconvenienced by strangers.

This is, in large part, pandemic revenge.

As far as these oligarchs are concerned, all science does is tell them stuff they cannot do.

They can't keep spewing carbon.

They can't keep businesses open as usual when millions are dying.

They have concluded that research is the enemy of profit.
