I think many people would find it impossible to boycott Disney. The figures will be interesting though.
Disney is no longer associated with magic and innocence in the minds of millions now.

There are mistakes - and there is catastrophic cowardice that changes your brand identity.

Boycott Disney.

Could we please stop pretending that the flags being hung from streetlamps or painted on roundabouts are innocent expressions of patriotic pride? This is the far right marking out its territory. It uses these flags to intimidate its traditional victims and opponents. 🧵1/3

The decision to approve Thames Water's mega-reservoir without a public inquiry is being scrutinised in the High Court. 8 storeys high and covering the size of Gatwick Airport, government data suggests it's not necessary.

I read somewhere in The Guardian on the last few days her quote something like this. Succinct. Correct. I’m appalled by this government’s lack of courage and ability to do the right thing. Tax wealth to restore local services, and stop cutting benefits from the most vulnerable of our neighbours.

I’ve already voted in tomorrow’s election. I think it’s less important to decide based on the issues du jour and more important to vote on the values demonstrably held by your candidate of choice. Reasonable people, presented with rational argument, can change their mind. Who they are matters more.

If 10% of Americans will say they were abducted by aliens, then we can just reduce any rationality measure by about the same. Is that right? Or do I not understand the point.

Jeez. The Government’s own impact assessment on welfare cuts finds they would drive 250,000 more people, including 50,000 children, into poverty

Even the zillionaires agree that a small (2%) tax on their income would be unnoticeable for them, and would save UK public services.

But Labour aren’t doing that, rather taking benefits away from the most vulnerable of us.

I think this is an open goal for the Lib Dems. If they’ve the courage.

I just watched Turning Point 9/11. The decades leading up to it and two decades since. One reviewer called it “unflinching”.

It made me wonder if they’ve ever turned the work of Chalmers Johnson ( he wrote Blowback, amongst other books) into a documentary.

HBJ’s tweet is a thousand-word diatribe of Guido Fawkes level quality. All you need to know is that everything that follows after the words “judges will be compelled” is completely made up. Just lie upon lie upon lie.

I’d never have thought I’d repost Richard Branson. But he’s the first BIG VOICE Ive heard mention this 1994 Budapest memorandum. It was USA UK Russia and France who promised to have Ukraine’s back.
(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Today I learned that in 1994, Ukraine agreed to give up its considerable nuclear arsenal in exchange for security protections from Russia, USA and UK.

I’ve never heard of this.

I wonder how many people are wondering if democracy really is the best way to govern. I know I can’t think of an alternative. But a leader of the lowest common denominator isn’t working. A “benevolent dictator”?

Pretty much summarises the UK position on this, IMO.
I think this is the closest many of us have ever got to seeing the real Trump. The only consistent thread in his entire unhinged rant was the love & praise for Vladimir Putin. Zelensky has more courage & dignity in his little finger than every member of Trump's regime & fan club combined.
