Because my assumption, just like the rest of y’all’s, is that Frey’s coalition is primarily built up of GOP voters and the moderate centrists who are islamophobic.
I have to assume any of the votes who went to Frey from the dropped candidates mostly into that last category.

I (not so secretly) love going to the polls on actual Election Day. It’s so special to go into a building you may never visit otherwise, interact in a non commercial way with people in your community, all without the pressure of small talk or networking! Let’s do more of this.

Even if I didn’t have any of the knowledge that I do from working at City Hall, I couldn’t support the Mayor because he is supporting candidates like Brian Strahan and Becka Thompson. They are people who have repeatedly lied about residing in their Wards.

I have experienced this many times. Need help with traffic calming on a road shared with the County? Silence. Adopting for a community-lead redevelopment of the Roof Depot? No reply.
So for those of us who try to help people on a daily basis, this makes our jobs so hard because you have a culture being driven from the top to not take action and to not work with Council Members who are the ones most directly connected to actual city residents.

It’s this simple. Do you think MPLS is doing well? Frey has had complete control. Current state of the city is on his shoulders. If we re-elect him, we cannot expect ANYTHING to change.
Jacob Frey has been Mayor for 8 years, and has had complete power and control over the City for the last 4 years. All City departments other than the legislative department report to him and he’s in charge of implementation of all policies and budgets.
