This has to be the most brazenly corrupt act in the history of the American presidency.

Trump is holding a contest to see who can pay him the most money and the prize is direct access to the president

It is literal pay-to-play

What a surprise. MAGA has been screaming for the Epstein client list for years and, FOR SOME REASON, Donald Trump’s DOJ doesn’t want to release it. They might need to do a redaction first.

2. The most important part of the contract is Section 13.

It states that, by signing the contract, the employee agrees NEVER TO ENFORCE THE CONTRACT IN COURT OR ANY OTHER FORUM.

This makes the contract effectively worthless.

No matter what the government does after you sign, you are powerless.

Apparently, allowing Americans to file their tax returns for free is a bad thing. A big gift to the Big Tax lobby and a big middle finger to Americans.

NEW: The Trump admin has fired members of the Cyber Safety Review Board, a committee that was lauded for its investigation into Microsoft hacks of 2023, and was working on the recent Salt Typhoon telco hacks.

One source called it a “horribly shortsighted” decision.

I disagree.

Giving governments total access to private communications lays the technical groundwork for undermining democracy 1/

Billionaires have to have imposter syndrome so hard that it drives them insane.

It was sad enough that Elon bragged so much about how good he was at Path of Exile 2. The fact that he was lying makes it so much sadder.

The insecurity is off the charts.

I guess it was inevitable that eventually Zuck would himself start falling for the misinformation on FB.

If the professional fact-checkers all seem to be biased, but you can't prove them wrong, that doesn't mean they're actually biased. You're just wrong.

I feel bad for John Roberts.

All he did was refuse to hold two of the most corrupt Justices in the history of the court to even the tiniest shred of accountability while also writing the dangerous and legally nonsensical immunity decision.

And now people don't trust him or the court he leads?

Before the election, one Q I'd ask Dems (for my info, not on record) was: What changes inside the party if Trump wins? A common answer was that they would use more norm-busting tactics because voters will have said they don't care about norms.

Biden pardon not 100% in this zone but maybe 85%.
The part that gets me is Polis is still spouting this "no one is above the law" platitude which the DOJ, the U.S. Supreme Court and a plurality of American voters have now all rejected.

Saying it doesn't make it true. Selectively holding Hunter Biden to that standard doesn't make it true.
Trump pardoned Jared Kushner's dad while Jared worked in the White House, then yesterday appointed Jared's dad as an ambassador, but Polis didn't have the same energy for that. Pathetic stuff that I for one won't soon forget.

I mean Jesus Christ if you fight people notice. Even if you have some short term losses, it creates momentum. It changes things. People with any degree of awareness and any desire for improvement don’t want norms or bipartisanship. They want to fight. Give us some fucking fighters.
Obama's '08 campaign won the biggest margin of victory in the last 30+ years. Within hours of his inauguration, Republicans went to dinner and agreed to oppose him on every single item. Two years later, they won 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats.
So this the kind of Trump admin that progressives on the Hill and some leftists want to play clever game of footsie with around issues on anti trust and credit card fees?
