I've seen this with my siblings and anemia. Doctors in North America just assume we have sickle cell anemia (associated with Africa). We have a form of thalassemia (associated with the Mediterranean & Asia). Most people have ancestry from all over the world, appearance isn't a scientific rulebook.

Why I haven't had an autism assessment. I don't have 3k. My doctor supposedly put in a referral, 2 years later when I checked in, I was never on a waiting list. The person who raised me has no capacity to give a description. I went to school in the Caribbean 30 years ago leaving no records to pull.

If the assumption is that Mamdani makes Jewish people less safe based on hypothetical fears, why isn't the assumption that Cuomo would have made women less safe (based on numerous sexual harassment allegations) and Addams (pushed police targeting bipoc groups) was a threat to Black New Yorkers.

i think "socialism" or being a "leftist" in america has meant being mostly concerned with how it effects you. free healthcare, free education etc it's pretty common to find ppl who think themselves as left in america who have no thoughts on empire

I'd like to petition to go back to pre-paper style education. Lectures and open debate. Instead of essays you have to do a thesis defense as you would for Masters and PHDs.

I get the thought process, but having a society centered on workers and not capitalists isn't won through the morality of individual billionaires. Cuban is more correct in this scenario, bizarrely. Policy and collective action is how capitalism ends, not "good" capitalists.
