Warning track power.
The joy of listening to my dad explain to my teenaged nephew, in ornate detail, how the fix is in and why the nfl is trying to undermine Philly and get the cowboys a playoff spot.

And he was right to make that face.
Best thing to come out of this Eagles/Cowboys game are these images of Jake Elliott on the sidelines

Trump is a starfucker and clearly loathes the people in his life who kiss his ass so I guess maybe on some level it shouldn’t be TOO surprising that it went that way but also…one has to think Trump was recalibrated to his weekend pharmaceuticals a little early right?

“Eyyyy! Show some friggin respect to our guest! His family did 9/11 for cryin out loud”
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Xxx tastetastion
Hershey's TasteTations (1996-2001): A line of bite-sized hard candies, marking Hershey's first attempt to enter the hard candy market (which they frequently noted in the commercials). Available in flavors such as chocolate, butterscotch, peppermint, caramel, and chocolate-mint

Appreciate having a president so transparent that he announces on social media that they’re all done covering up his crimes and they’re ready to share said cover up.

Housing is a right, you say?
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Some purple district republicans defecting on a bill that will not be picked up by the senate or signed by the president isn’t enough.
POLITICO: “.. GOP leadership aides believe dozens of Republicans will vote it, possibly 100 or more, according to five people granted anonymity to speak candidly.”

I really appreciate this short thread. It captures how I, as a Mostly Normal guy, feel. But I also know MSNBC vote blue no matter who people who are DISGUSTED by this and by the status quo.

In Trump 2 we have learned (again) Dem leaders and corporations are craven, but we as a country might not be
I think voters at large will very likely have trouble remembering details of chuck schumer selling out the aca by nov 2026. also I think in the next three months you're gonna see a lot of unlikely folks stopping by the dsa table at various no kings events

"We’re done waiting for Dems to find their spine. We can’t afford a weak & cowardly Democratic Party while the authoritarians invade our cities, terrorize our communities, & threaten our democracy. We get the party we demand, & we intend to demand a Democratic Party that fights.” — @indivisible.org

Clean slate. Primary all of em
Ezra Klein, having spoken to a "dozen or so House and Senate Democrats" over the weekend, says at least some of them worried extending the ACA subsidies would take them off the table as a political issue and wanted Republicans to keep the filibuster.

Ok who’s up trying to figure out how we can primary literally every democrat in office
November 10, 2025 at 2:35 AM
I think this is gonna be seen for the huge betrayal that it is. And I think there’s gonna be a lot of primaries lost.
Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

Chuck Schumer, this is so insulting to me as part of a real Irish American couple living just outside of a major northeastern city.
Oh sure you think Chuck Schumer is “caving” and “wants to ruin all the momentum” and “is horrible at politics” but what if I was to tell you that this old crazy man ran the idea by an imaginary married Irish American couple that exists only in his mind and they think it’s great politics
