BREAKING Minn. Latest Killing: Feds claim person they killed had a gun. Even if true, that's not a crime. Indeed, this administration said repeatedly its 2d A protected activity. Agents would have to KNOW he had a gun and fear IMMINENT harm from it - that is yet to be established by any evidence.

Disgraceful
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, long a moderating force between President Trump and the Federal Reserve, has emerged as a public critic of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell.

The shift adds to the political pressure on the central bank.
After months of restraint, treasury secretary joins attacks on Fed chief
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spent much of the past year quietly urging restraint as President Trump trained his fire on Fed Chair Powell. This week, Bessent joined the attack.

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

Can't think of a more compelling example of "democracy is a verb" - the fight continues, as it must.
It's still freezing in Minneapolis, and crowds are streaming into downtown. Spontaneous anti-ICE chants breaking out on the sidewalk.

The autopsy done by the Good family strongly suggests that the second or third shot that ICE agent Ross fired killed her; those two shots are the LEAST defensible as self-defense as Good was driving away from Ross, and deadly force would be least justified. And yet Trump/Vance protect him....
I've been waiting for this.

Independent autopsy of Renee Good is in. It's strong evidence against Agent Ross, given what it means about the second or third shot through the left-side window.

It's the second and third shots that make the easiest criminal case of a willful killing.

Not only was DOGE illegally accessing your Social Security information, but it was also illegally offering to share it with third-party political groups working to overturn elections.

This is a deep betrayal of the public trust and must be fully investigated. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/20/u...

Your last point is enormously important as this decision undermines our Constitutionally protected rights, moving our country further into authoritarianism.
I can't even keep up with the lies in Jim Jordan's opening statement, but I find it interesting that he's complaining about toll record warrants obtained by a judge, while this administration has determined judicial warrants aren't needed to enter our homes.

Can we please protect the children?

I remember being a kid and being told to go back to Africa. And that was before Trump. Kids right now have it so much worse. The cruelty is louder, more public, more sanctioned.

Shelter the little ones. No one deserves this treatment, but especially not them.

Take a look at the history, the reason the Fed was created. One source: the Fed's web site - unless Trump's goons have taken that down as they have so many other informative resources. Hoping for the best while First Felon dismantles our democracy, our guaranteed protections=not going so great, no?

They also murdered an elderly women (U.S. citizen, no record of involvement w/law enforcement) in the San Francisco Bay area last week. She was forced to the ground, her head was smashed into a window. She died later in a local hospital.
ICE agents have shot at least nine other people just since September, killing one.

Under Trump, this violence is rewarded with fat bonuses and student loan forgiveness — while nurses, teachers, and everyone else struggles to get by.

We must never become numb to his cruelty.

This is very good from WaPo. Note position of officer's feet to side of car when first shot is fired. I think everyone defending this should be asked: Was it not even an *overreaction* to fire those shots, especially 2 & 3, into her face point-blank with the officer clearly not in danger? Really?
