This is spot on and applies to a lot of things environmentalists don’t like. We should accept that some use is necessary and beneficial and focus efforts to use them efficiently and in ways that minimize harm.
Sri Lanka banned all synthetic fertilizers and pesticides–and the nation nearly self-destructed. I get why people hate chemicals, but they do help food grow, and we’ll need to grow more food in the next 30 years than we’ve grown in the last 12000.

I would throw D1 TEs into the mix for CB.

as a white liberal with Southern roots, quite frankly, I think other white liberals from the South need to get the fuck over their oddly defensive attitude about what should be pretty blindingly obvious.
I understand why some white liberals from the Deep South want to insist that there isn't something distinct (and bad) about Southern political culture but the problem with this is that we wouldn't even have this idea of "The South" as distinct from the rest of the US if there wasn't a there there

I would advise young people to consider engineering/construction fields. AI may ultimately provide some efficiency but we need actual people to build stuff, especially entry level to do field work.

I try very hard to not “as the father of daughters” much. But as the father of daughters if anybody ever said this around me I wouldn’t let my family in a three square mile radius of them and I’d make sure everybody I knew had the information to do the same.

LFC are currently a team that needs to score first to win. The question for Slot is how to approach games in that context. Do we push for an early goal potentially increasing chance of conceding or do we contain early and push for goals once game has settled?

It’s seems the takeaway from last night is Slot should have just played that lineup all season but the reality is he hasn’t really been able to. Macca has taken 2 months to get going, RBs have been injured, Salah has been poor. I think the one thing he could have done earlier is play more Robbo,
