i, too, can use corporate jargon to sound smart while saying literally nothing of value

I have a couple of comments about Paul Ingrassia's lawyer, who sounds like a lawyer who would be hired by Paul Ingrassia.

First, vagueness in legal threats is the hallmark of legal thuggery. Notice the letter does not identify a single allegedly false statement of fact in the Politico story.

Paul Ingrassia is now threatening to sue Politico:

“This vexatious political attack masquerading as "journalism" is defamatory and will be addressed in forthcoming litigation.”

Forty years ago today, I sat in the US Senate gallery and watched my then-boss, Russell Long, deliver a speech about his dad, Huey Long, who died on this day in 1935 in Baton Rouge. He had been assassinated. Long and I had worked for months on his speech. It was a moving tribute to his dad. 1/6

Blacks for Trump - you’re DEI. DEI bad.

Pro-Palestine for Trump - Gaza is being cleared out to make room for Trump resorts. You’re welcome.

By "civilization," Musk means whites. There is no danger of civilization collapse from birth rates.

And, by no measure is the US birth rate the lowest (our fertility rate is almost twice that of South Korea which has a genuine demographic problem). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

It can't. But, what DOGE accidentally revealed about themselves in the process is fascinating. 🧵

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

Insightful thread.
Let me tell you a story. My first job in banking was during a rough patch. We would rush home to see the news to see if we were being closed down that night. Seriously. But when a bank was closed, nearly every depositor was made whole because of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Oh hell yes, let's absolutely get rid of the FDIC. Would love to have re learn all the lessons of the New Deal again.

If Trump's first administration was stocked with Bond Villains, it seems like the second one is going with more of a Legion of Doom vibe.

A brief thread...
